Defiant.to (they/them/we/us/พวกเรา) was founded in Chiang Mai during the summer of 2025—just in the nick of time from the looks of it. The U.S. government is threatening to disarm trans folks by labeling us as “mentally ill,” pushing involuntary discharges on highly accomplished trans servicemembers, and allowing ICE to freely and cruelly detain and deport immigrants and U.S. citizens alike. The dollar is in free fall, making travel both harder to afford and more necessary than ever. The Supreme Court is running the Constitution through a shredder. Things seem really unstable right now tbh.
We exist because people need exits. Defiant helps queer, disabled, neurodivergent, and displaced people navigate medical travel, long-stay visas, permanent relocation, and survival abroad. We don’t make promises we can’t keep. We build lifelines where systems have failed.
“Exit before extinction” isn’t just a cool slogan; it’s a mandate we live by everyday.
